KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) The Killeen School Board voted unanimously Tuesday to extend the contract of Superintendent John Craft through June 30, 2023.

“The board will negotiate compensation and benefits in the coming weeks,” KISD spokesman Terry Abbott said.

Craft joined the KISD in 2012 as deputy superintendent and was named interim superintendent in July 2014 after then Superintendent Robert Muller announced his intention to leave Killeen.

In December 2014 Craft was named sole finalist for the superintendent’s job and in January 2015 the Killeen School Board made the promotion official.
