KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A designation will be added to about 15 street signs on Cunningham Road honoring Christian House of Prayer founder Bishop Nate Holcomb, who died in 2018, after a Killeen City Council vote Tuesday.

The Killeen City Council gave unanimous approval to the honorary designation.

Cunningham Road is adjacent to the Christian House of Prayer, which Holcomb, a U.S. Army veteran, founded in 1981.

Holcomb died on Nov. 27, 2018 at the age of 66.

Church Elder Joseph Solomon requested the honorary designation in September.

The $3,869 cost of changing the wording on the signs will be paid by the church.

The designation will not require an address change because Cunningham will remain the primary street name.
