KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) The Killeen ISD held its third annual fall career fair Tuesday afternoon in hopes of filling open auxiliary positions in one of the fastest growing school districts in Texas.

Jobseekers including veterans and college students were welcome.

Last year, the event more than 500 people turned out and even more were expected this year.

“This is a great opportunity for those folks to really get to speak to someone face-to-face with who’s working in the line of work that they want to apply for,” KISD spokeswoman Taina Maya said.

The district needs a range of personnel from teachers to bus drivers to plumbers to teacher’s aides to school nutrition workers to custodians.

“Killeen ISD is 7,500 strong when it comes to employees,” Maya said.

“But within each department, it really is a family so we might be able to offer you something that you might not get from any other job.”

The district’s openings are listed online.
