KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Halloween is a fun holiday for everyone, but not everyone can participate in door-to-door trick or treating.

But Thursday morning, Dazona Life and Learning Centers held a special monster bash.

Friends and families with special needs children and adults gathered together for a Spooktacular time.

Everyone had delicious sweets and treats with games and activities to play.

They even provided pony rides.

Assistant Director Marnie Santucci says it’s all about helping those with special needs feel safe and have fun.

“It just gives them a lot of joy,” she said, “They like to enjoy the music, the dancing, the deck decorating, they do a little trick or treating where it’s safe for them and they feel comfortable doing it.”

The event was highlighted by the special blue pumpkin candy buckets that raise awareness for special needs.
