KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A man is sentenced for robbing a Killeen business and then leading police on a chase.

Judge Fancy H. Jezek, in 426th District Court, ordered Seth Aaron Kaplan to serve 4 years in prison.

In August 2018, Kaplan was charged with the robbery of a smoke shop in the 4200 block of East Stan Schlueter Loop.

Kaplan, who since his arrest has been in custody in the Bell County Jail walked into the business and said, “I’m robbing you,” and demanded money, the affidavit says.

The affidavit says he shoved one of the women into a corner and struggled with the other before dragging both by their hair to the rear of the store, while threatening to kill them.

Kaplan then fled and sped off, reaching speeds on Elms Road of 102 miles per hour before he taken into custody.
