KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Over 100 residents gathered at the Killeen Post Office at 300 N. 10th St., to fill out applications for passports on Saturday morning.

Secretary Brenda Cunningham says the post office is looking to host more passport fairs in the future.

“Hopefully, we’re getting people ready for spring break travel,” she said.

“So, getting the passports back in time is a top priority.”

Normally, passport applications are only processed Monday through Friday.

Cunningham noted that hosting a passport fair on a Saturday gives the public a much-needed opportunity to take care of something they may not be able to do during the work week.

“We just want to make sure that residents and their families get one step closer to traveling outside the country this year.”
