LAMPASAS, Texas (KWTX) The entire city of Lampasas was under a boil water notice Monday night after multiple water main breaks.
According to a post on the city’s Facebook page, the first water main break occurred around 2:45 p.m. on Old Convent Road.
As crews were repairing that 12 inch line, another, 18 inch line, broke behind Advent Rollins Brook Hospital.
A large portion of the city was either without water or saw a reduciton of water pressure.
A few hours later, the boil water notice was issued for the town of 6,600.
Classes are scheduled to continue as normal Tuesday, Lampasas Independent School District said they will have water supplied to all campuses.
