Late-night shooting sends teen to local hospital in critical condition

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Several suspects are in custody after a late-night shooting in Killeen that sent a 15-year-old boy to a local hospital in critical, but stable condition.

Officers who responded to a report of the shooting at around 11:45 p.m. Sunday in the 3200 block of Longview Drive southeast of Marlboro Park in Killeen found the teenager with a gunshot wound to the head.

He was taken first to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center and then was transferred to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.

Witnesses identified several suspects whom investigators later located and took into custody, police said.

Police did not specify the number arrested.

Charges were pending late Monday morning.
