HOUSTON, Texas (KWTX) The line was long and it formed early Monday, hours ahead of the president’s trip to Houston to stump for Republican Sen. Ted Cruz.

Mr. Trump leaves Washington at 1:50 p.m. and is due to arrive at Houston’s Toyota Center at 5:50 p.m. where he’ll host a roundtable with supporters before speaking at a “Make America Great Again” rally in support of Cruz’s re-election bid against Democratic U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke.

The rally coincides with the start of early voting in Texas.

Vice President Mike Pence and Donald Trump, Jr., have already traveled to Texas to support Cruz.
