Small area school district participates in active shooter training

LOMETA, Texas (KWTX) Teachers and administrators in the Lometa ISD were undergoing active shooter training Thursday ahead of the start of the fall semester.

Johnny Price with Big Iron was conducting the training, which started at 8 a.m. and ran until noon.

Price has provided active shooter training for schools, stores and banks.

The Lometa ISD serves nearly 300 students.

Such training has become increasingly common in recent years.
