Local high school student indicted over threat of violence

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A 17-year-old Gateway High School student who was arrested after a threat of violence was made against students and staff was indicted Wednesday for terroristic threat of a public servant.

Deandre Jamel Finister, of Harker Heights, was arrested on April 16.

He remains in the Bell County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $204,000, according to online records.

The 11th grade student was arrested in connection with a threat that was made toward the end of the day on April 16 at the alternative school, Killeen ISD spokesman Terry Abbott said at the time.
