KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A Killeen man accused in an arrest affidavit of sexually assaulting an underage girl on “a number of occasions” was held in lieu of $100,000 bond Tuesday charged with sexual assault of a child.

Robert Lee Blas, 40, was booked into the Bell County Jail on Monday.

The arrest stems from an eight-month investigation.

The victim, who’s now 18, told investigators the sexual abuse started when she was 14 and that she was raped when she turned 15 and “on a number of occasions after the first time,” the arrest affidavit says.

The teen told police she reported the abuse to several other people and also underwent an examination by a sexual assault nurse examiner at Scott & White Medical Center.

When investigators reached out to the people, they identified Blas as the man who the girl told them molested her, the affidavit says.
