TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) A Temple police officer is on paid leave while officials investigate unspecified criminal allegations about which the Temple Police Department was informed on Nov. 17, department spokeswoman Ellen Morton said in a brief press release Tuesday.
“Upon notification, the identified member was immediately placed on paid investigatory leave and had all physical and remote access to the Department and its records management systems restricted,” Morton said.
The Texas Rangers were asked to assist in the investigation, she said.
“The Temple Police Department will be providing all necessary resources to assist the Rangers,” she said.
No further details were provided.
