KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A Killeen woman admitted she abused her 6-week-old son after the infant was found to have 31 fractures and injuries, an arrest warrant affidavit said.

Leeellen Rios, 23, told police she squeezed her baby really tightly with her arms, pulling him by the arms and legs and placing her body weight on the baby’s extremities, the affidavit says.

Rios remains in the Bell County Jail in lieu of $ 200,000 bond charged with injury to a child.

She was arrested after a Killeen officer was sent to McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple on Feb. 5 after a nurse reported the infant’s injuries.

The nurse told the officer the baby had 31 documented fractures and injuries to his body, the affidavit says.

Rios admitted to police she lived in a home with her husband’s parents and two siblings.

The baby’s grandfather he told police that Rios was the only person who was ever alone with the child, the affidavit says.

When confronted by authorities, police said, Rios, who’s 5-foot-4 and weighs 100 pounds, admitted to being the only person who hurt the baby and that she “needed help,” the affidavit says.
