Harker Heights: Man arrested after gun pulled on Walmart worker indicted

HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas (KWTX) A 25-year-old Killeen man arrested after a shoplifter pulled a gun on an employee of the Harker Heights Walmart who approached him as he left the store was named in a one-count indictment Wednesday.

Matthew Pauu-Talaga, 25, of Killeen, was indicted for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in connection with the Jan. 10 incident.

He remains in the Bell County in lieu of $100,000 bond.

He was arrested in the parking lot after officers responded to the store at just after 9 p.m. Jan. 10.

The shoplifter pulled a gun from his pocket, pointed it an employee and then ran into the parking lot, hiding behind vehicles as he made his way toward the Murphy gas station on the east side of the lot where police found him.
