Man arrested after stealing parent’s car at gunpoint

MCGREGOR, Texas (KWTX) A Central Texas man was behind bars Thursday facing multiple charges.

McGregor police responded to a home late Tuesday evening on North Harrison Street for a domestic disturbance involving a gun.

When officers arrived the parents of Emmanual Martinez said their son held a gun to them and stole their car.

Police reached out to Waco police to help find Martinez and they were able to locate him by pinging his cell phone to an area on Barron Avenue.

Martinez remained in the McLennan County jail on bonds totaling $171,500.

Online records indicate his charges include two counts of aggravated assault/family violence, aggravated robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, retaliation and theft.
