Man still sought in connection with deadly Central Texas shooting

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Police again asked for the public’s help Thursday in the search for a man wanted in connection with a shooting in the parking lot of a Killeen apartment complex in 2015.

Investigators think Arsenio Joseph Griffin has information about the shooting, police said.

Killeen police first appealed to the public for information on his whereabouts in December 2017.

Officers who responded at around 5:20 p.m. Nov. 9, 2015 to a report of gunfire in the 2800 block of Tucker Drive found Robert Byrd, Jr. in the parking lot of the complex at 2814 Tucker, police said.

He was taken to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center where he died just before 8:30 p.m.

An autopsy was ordered.
