TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) Coby James Sebesta, 25, was held in the Bell County Jail Friday in lieu of bonds totaling more than $1 million charged with murder in the October death of a Temple man, who, an autopsy showed, was strangled.

Sebesta was served with the murder warrant in jail where he was already held on an unrelated Bosque County warrant charging unauthorized use of a vehicle.

The murder charge stems from the death of Mark Sebesta, 59, whom officers found after responding at around 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 28 to a report of a death at a home in the 1300 block of South 35th Street in Temple.

An autopsy was ordered and it showed that the cause of death was strangulation and the manner of death was homicide, police spokeswoman Ellen Morton said.

Police did not provide information Friday about the relationship between the two men.

Further details weren’t released.
