NOLANVILLE, Texas (KWTX) More than 50 people living in Nolanville from families in need, to the elderly, took part in a special pick-up food service on Monday.

The pick-up is a partnership between the city and a local catering company. They will be available every Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

"Obviously, with gatherings being limited to ten people at the moment, that's not great for business," said Meredith Viguers, owner of Let Us Do the Cooking.

"So, we've kind of reinvented ourselves over the last couple of weeks."

Viguers says it's another way to give back to her community while waiting for life to return to normal.

Teacher Christopher Burrell and his two daughters couldn't agree more.

"They enjoy the time off, but I also miss them being in school," he said.

"Being a teacher, I miss being in the classroom with my students."

With a shelter-in-place order just issued for Bell County, it seems that getting back to normal will be an uphill battle.

"We're just moving in that directing for right now until we can get back to whatever normal looks like after this," Viguers said.
