One dead, 1 in custody after shooting in small Central Texas town

BREMOND, Texas (KWTX) One man is dead and another was in custody Tuesday after a shooting that stemmed from an argument Monday night between two men and a woman in a neighborhood in Bremond.

The shooting happened between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Monday at a home near the intersection of Anderson and East Jack Street, Robertson County Sheriff Gerald Yezak said.

Sheriff Yezak says two men and a woman were in a disagreement in the rear carport area of the home when shots rang out.

The victim was shot repeatedly.

He was later pronounced dead.

Cody Tepera, 29, of Franklin was in the Robertson County Jail Tuesday charged with murder, according to online records.

Bond had not been set.

A weapon was recovered at the scene.

The victim’s name was not immediately released.
