Local resident escapes unharmed after house bursts into flames

ROGERS, Texas (KWTX) A local resident was fast asleep when his house burst into flames on Monday, luckily they were able to escape unharmed.

Multiple crews responded to a house fire in the 300 block of East Mesquite Street Monday in Rogers.

The Rogers Volunteer Fire Department along with Holland VFD, Buckholts VFD, Little River-Academy VFD worked to put out the blaze.

Officials say the fire started in the storage shed before it spread to the home.

The Bell County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.

Temple EMS and the Bell County Sheriff's Department also responded.
