Police identify suspect in shooting at local car wash

COPPERAS COVE, Texas (KWTX) Police Wednesday identified the man for whom they’re looking in connection with a shooting at a Copperas Cove car wash that left one injured as Derryl Robinson, 27.

“Please to not attempt to apprehend the suspect on your own, he has been known to carry a firearm,” police said in a post.

The unidentified victim of the shooting, which occurred at around 8:40 p.m. last Friday in the 200 block of West Business Highway 190, was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

Police think the shooting stemmed from an altercation and say the victim and the suspect “knew each other from previous encounters.”

Robinson is 6-foot-1 and weighs 160 pounds.

He may be driving a white 2004 Ford Expedition with North Carolina license FMB 7866.
