Police search for man who robbed local bank

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Killeen police were searching for a robber Monday afternoon following a holdup at the First National Bank of Texas at 1002 North 38th St..

The robbery was reported just after 11:20 a.m. Monday.

The man handed a teller a note demanding money and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was hurt.

The robber is black, about 6 feet tall, weighs around 260 to 270 pounds and has a mustache and a shadow of a beard.

He was wearing gray sweatpants, a do-rag on his head, a black and gray windbreaker, black shoes and black driving gloves with the tips cut off, police said.

A police spokeswoman didn’t immediately know if he was armed.

The bank remained closed early Monday afternoon.
