TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) Police Thursday evening say they’ll step up patrols after a 15-year-old Temple girl reported that a man exposed himself to her and offered to give her a ride as she waited for a school bus.

The girl was waiting for the bus at around 7:30 a.m. Thursday at Hatrick Bluff Road and Silver Stone Drive in Temple when the man, who was driving a white and black SUV, pulled up, exposed himself and offered her a ride to school.

“There was no physical contact made between the suspect and the victim,” police spokesman Cody Weems said.

After the incident the girl ran home.

A relative called police at around 1 p.m.

The man was white or Hispanic, had brown hair, was clean-shaven, and had what police said was an average build.

“The Temple Police Department will have increased patrol in this area in the coming days,” Weems said.
