CORSICANA, Texas (KWTX) Authorities Wednesday increased the reward for information leading to the capture of a Navarro County man who’s on the state’s 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list to $8,000.

Pete Jerry Luna, 52, has been a fugitive since March 2018 when he left his last known address in Corsicana.

He also has ties to the Houston area, authorities said.

He was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child in 1992 after an incident involving an 8-year-old girl in Navarro County.

He’s wanted for sexual abuse of a child and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

Luna is 5-foot-6 and weighs about 180 pounds.

To be eligible for rewards, tips must be submitted through Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-522-TIPS, through the Department of Public Safety website or the 10 Most Wanted Facebook page.

The increased reward is good through the month of April.
