ROGERS, Texas (KWTX) For the second time in two weeks, police in Rogers have made an animal seizure at a home.

Police said in a news release that on Tuesday, they were called to a home in the 500 block of Smith Street and found a malnourished dog in the backyard.

When officers returned the next day, with a warrant in hand, the dog they saw was gone, but they found four others in the backyard that were seized.

Inside the home, they saw a woman try to hide from them, police said.

When she finally opened the door, there were three other dogs and they were also seized.

Police said neither the woman nor her husband would say what happened to the dog officers saw Tuesday.

All seven dogs were taken to the Bell County Animal Shelter, two with visible injuries, police said.

Earlier this month, police removed 23 dogs from another home in Rogers.
