Salado: Police obtain warrant for teenage burglary suspect

SALADO, Texas (KWTX) Salado police have obtained an arrest warrant for a teenager in connection with one of a pair of burglaries in the village and say he should be “considered armed and dangerous.”

The warrant issued in connection with one of the two break-ins that occurred on July 15 names Cartha Martel Speed, Jr., 19, whose last known address was in Temple.

The burglaries on July 15 were reported in the 800 block of Mill Creek Drive and in the 900 block of Blaylock Drive.

According to the Bell County Crimestoppers, Killeen police are also seeking Speed in connection to a home burglary there that was reported on July 16.

The resident reported several items were stolen, including firearms.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Salado police at (254) 947-5681.

Speed was arrested in September 2018 and was charged with assault on a public servant and assault causing bodily injury after a security guard was shoved at Belton High School, where speed was a student.
