BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) Funeral arrangements have been set for the Sam Houston State University newlyweds who were killed in a helicopter crash Saturday night.

Will Byler, 23, and Bailee Ackerman Byler, 23, were members of the university's rodeo team and got engaged last year.

They left their wedding ceremony Saturday evening in a helicopter, rather than taking a car.

The helicopter crashed just north of Uvalde County.

The couple and their pilot were killed.

The helicopter slammed into the side of a hill, scattering debris more than 100 yards from the site, making it difficult for the National Transportation Safety Board to investigate the cause.

Two visitations have been set for the couple.

The first is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at Turning Point Church of Vidor.

A service will follow at 4 p.m.

The second will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday at the Bellville United Methodist Church.

A funeral service follows at 10 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Byler Family Cemetery in Uvalde.
