Temple: Shooting sends 1 to local hospital, gunman remains at large

TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) Police were searching for a suspect Thursday after an early-morning shooting in Temple that sent one to a local hospital.

Officers responded to a report of the shooting at around 5:45 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of West French Avenue in Temple.

The victim, who was not identified was taken to Scott & White Medical Center with what police said were non-life-threatening injuries.

The man for whom police are looking is white or Hispanic and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and red sweat pants.

He fired a single round at the victim and then fled.
