KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A fire late Thursday morning in a residential neighborhood near a Killeen elementary school produced so much smoke it looked worse that it turned out to be.

The fire broke out in a storage shed near the intersection of Illinois Avenue and Louisiana Street, just east of Clifton Park Elementary School.

Wind blew the heavy smoke over neighboring houses, making it appear at first that the flames had spread, but the fire was contained to the shed.

No one was home when the fire started.

Further details weren’t immediately available.
