KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A 17-year-old Gateway High School student accused of body-slamming a teacher who tried to separate him and another student with whom he was arguing is jailed in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Sir Josiah Ezekiel Vaughn is charged with assault on a public servant.

He was arrested Tuesday in connection with the incident on Oct. 22 that left teacher Erik Jones with head, thigh and back injuries.

Jones was attempting to break up an argument between Vaughn and another student when Vaughn, who’s 6-foot-5 and weighs 207 pounds, “picked Jones up and slammed him to the floor, causing him to land on his back,” an arrest warrant affidavit released Wednesday says.

A security camera recorded the incident, the affidavit said.
