Teen arrested after well-dressed robber holds up local store

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Police have arrested a teenager in connection with an armed holdup at a Killeen convenience store in which the robber was wearing a suit.

Tommy Dan Freeman, 18, of Killeen, was named in a complaint in connection with the Dec. 19 robbery at Shorty’s Convenient Store at 908 Terrace Dr., police said Thursday.

Officers were dispatched to the store at around 2:15 p.m. on Dec. 19.

The victim told them that a man wearing a suit and armed with a handgun entered the store, demanded money and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Freeman’s bond was set at $70,000, police said.

He was neither in the Killeen City Jail nor the Bell County Jail on Thursday.
