TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) A brick thrown from a car partially shattered the windshield of a tow truck Monday afternoon, Temple police said Monday.

Police received a report of the incident at around 3:10 p.m. Monday, police spokeswoman Ellen Morton said.

The First Call Auto Recovery wrecker was in the 22000 block of Southwest H K Dodgen Loop when the brick struck and shattered a portion of the driver’s side windshield.

The driver was not able to get a provide description of the suspect, but says the brick was thrown from a westbound black Dodge Charger.

Temple police say they are investigating this case separately from other recent rock-throwing incidents in the same area.

On March 9, Keila Flores, 33, a Waco native who graduated from STARS High School and McLennan Community College, died after a rock thrown from an Interstate 35 overpass in Temple smashed through the windshield of the car in which she was riding.
