TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) David A. Olson, who’s now serving as Killeen’s acting assistant city manager and executive director of Public Works, has accepted an offer to become assistant city manager in Temple.

Olson has been with the City of Killeen since January 2016 where he first served as director of transportation.

Olson is a Texas A&M agricultural engineering graduate with more than 12 years of experience as a consulting engineer and municipal manager.

“I consider myself very fortunate to be able to combine a career with a passion. Doing so in a community as wonderful as Temple is the icing on the cake. I look forward to being a part of the City of Temple,” he said.

Olson is scheduled to start the new job on March 18.
