Temple: City attorney announces resignation

TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) Temple City Attorney Kayla Landeros announced Monday she plans to resign effective Sept. 20.

Landeros, who has been with the city for more than seven years, was appointed city attorney on Nov. 13, 2014.

She has also served as deputy city attorney and interim city attorney.

She will join Waco’s Naman, Howell, Smith & Lee, PLLC and will continue to serve as an adjunct professor of law at Baylor University, the city said.

The City Council will meet in executive session on May 13 to discuss filling the position.
