Temple: Council votes to put $33M bond proposal on May ballot

TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) The Temple City Council voted Thursday to put a proposed $33 million bond issue for park improvements on the May 2 ballot.

The bond package is expected to include the addition of 100 acres of new park space, nine miles of trails and improvements to 20 existing parks.

Five years has passed since the city last called for a bond vote.

The $26.7 million proposal passed.
