TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) An early-morning fire Tuesday in Temple caused about $180,000 in damage to a house and displaced the two residents.

Crews responded at around 3:10 a.m. Tuesday to the 2900 block of Indian trail where firefighters arrived to find heavy fire coming from an attached covered patio at the rear of the house with flames spreading toward the roof.

The two adult residents escaped without injury.

The fire started in the area of the patio and was ruled accidental, although the cause remains undetermined.

The two displaced residents are staying with relatives, officials said.
