"With phones in everyone's hands and we're using devices to take payments and watches and keys and all these other things, we want to cut back on the spread of germs," owner Jacob Bates said.
He brought the cabinet into the restaurant last week and has made it a requirement for everyone working to put any device they plan to touch while working into the cabinet first.
They also sanitize pads used by the wait staff to take orders and process payments, that sometimes require the customer to touch the pad as well for signatures and tipping.
According to the Phone Soap website, the cabinet uses UV-C lights to kill 99.99% of germs in 10 minutes.
Bates says it's well worth the investment.
"We can ensure that the public that comes to Bird Creek gets at the best possible scenario as far as sanitation is concerned," he said.
"These days the health code doesn't say anything about phones and that's the dirtiest thing that you can have in your pockets," Bates added.
Phone Soap also sells individual sanitizers that clean smartphones while they charge.
