Central Texas Taco Bell closes after employee diagnosed with COVID-19

TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) The Taco Bell at 6820 West Adams Ave., in Temple has been closed temporarily after an employee tested positive for the new coronavirus.

A spokesperson for the chain said the restaurant’s operator acted promptly after learning the positive had tested positive.

“The franchisee began working immediately with Taco Bell and local health officials, following all protocols established by the Bell County Health Department.

Employees who were exposed to the worker are now self-quarantining, and the restaurant was closed immediately for thorough cleaning and sanitizing.

The spokesperson did not say when the restaurant will reopen, but an employee said that could happen as early as Monday.
