TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) The United Way of Central Texas held its annual appreciation luncheon Wednesday in Temple.
The event honored several people who played a vital role in the United Way’s success in raising $1.5 million from a total of 3,000 donors in 2018.
President and CEO Stephanie O’Banion said it is only with the help from volunteers they can help as many people as they do.
She says they work hands on throughout the year on several different projects.
“The giving hearts in the community make my job easy,” said Veshell Greene, the United Way of Central Texas’ vice president of resource development.
“We must plant seeds and cultivate our community. United Way of Central Texas has so many volunteer opportunities.”
