Three local human-trafficking victims rescued in statewide operation

BELTON, Texas (KWTX Investigators with the Bell and McLennan county sheriff''s offices rescued three human-trafficking victims Wednesday in Killeen as part of a joint operation that expanded beyond Central Texas, authorities announced during a news conference Wednesday afternoon in Belton.

The four-month investigation led authorities to two properties in Bell County; Sunshine Massage at 2501 South WS Young and a home in the 2500 block of Bacon Ranch Road, authorities said.

Investigators also identified illegal massage parlors in three other Texas cities.

Statewide, investigators rescued a total of 10 victims of human trafficking.

The three victims rescued in Bell County were turned over to the group UnBound.
