KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Police continued to investigate Monday after gunfire erupted as teenagers partied in a new, but unoccupied home early Sunday in Killeen sending two men and a teen to local hospitals.

Officers responded just after midnight Sunday morning to the home in the 8100 block of Prescott Drive.

“The preliminary investigation revealed that several area high school students attended a party at a newly constructed residence that was not occupied when shots were fired,” police said in a press release.

Two men, ages 24 and 21, and a 17-year-old boy, were injured and were taken to local hospitals, police said.

All three were in stable condition, police said, but no further details were released.

Police are urging parents of teenagers to talk to their children to see if they have any information on the party or the shooting.

They asked any parents whose teenage children have information to contact Det. J. Mueller at jmueller@killeentexas.gov.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-TIPS.
