TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) The Temple and Killeen chapters of the Salvation Army have merged to streamline services, the organization announced Monday evening.

The combined command under the leadership of Lt. Aaron Millen and Lt. Chantel Millin will be known as the Salvation Army of Bell County and will have locations in both Temple and Killeen.

“The merging of the two commands was an idea that makes complete sense considering that the Temple location was already case managing and rehousing in the Killeen area, due to federal grants received, which required us to serve the entire county,” Chantel Millin said in a press release Monday evening.

“As we continue to work to close the fundraising gap that we presently have, having donations remain in the county instead of splitting them amongst separate cities (Killeen Area and Temple Area) will prove to better serve the needs of Bell County as well,” she said.
