Upcoming ball celebrates military mothers and their children

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) An event that started last year was so well-received it's back for round two.

Military Moms and BRATZ Ball

The 2nd Annual Military Moms and Bratz Ball is happening December 1 at the Killeen Convention Center.

It's a chance for active duty mothers or veterans to dress up and enjoy a night of fun, food, and music with their children, affectionately referred to as B.R.A.T.Z.

But all are invited to attend, regardless of military status.

That stands for bold & brave, resilient & responsible, amazing & adaptable, tolerant & true, zealous human beings.

The event was started in 2017 by a group known as the Camouflaged Sisters, women who serve or have previously served in the military.

They've put out several publications highlighting their time as women in the military.

This year's theme is Winter Wonderland: Celebrating Winter Around the Globe.

While the deadline for ticket sales has passed, all are invited to keep an eye out for future plans and attend in years to come.
