(KWTX) Volunteers are gearing up for the 30th year of the annual Food for Families drive, the largest one-day food drive in the state.
The one-day drive on Nov. 22 benefits food pantries across Central Texas.
Volunteers met this week to pick up materials they’ll need to promote the drive in their communities.
Last year the drive, with 19 different collection sites, generated more than 2.1 million pounds of non-perishable food.
This year’s goal is 2.5 million pounds.
