Second suspect in custody in shooting that left local teenager dead

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) The second suspect wanted in connection with the deadly shooting of a 17-year-old Gateway High School student is in custody.

Obadiah Moishe Bush, 17, was struck by gunfire during a disturbance just before noon on Feb.16 in the 1300 block of Covey Lane.

Friends drove Bush to a local hospital where he died about two hours after the shooting was reported.

Detectives and the United States Marshal's Service located Darius Kirt York, 21, Tuesday afternoon in the 4200 block of Bowles Drive in Killeen.

He was arrested without incident and was transported to the Killeen City Jail.

The other suspect, Zamante Jamon Alvis, 17, is held in lieu of $1 million bond, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Visitation for Bush was held Mpnday at 9 a.m. at the Harper Talasek Chapel at 506 North 38th St. in Killeen.

The funeral service was at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial followed at the Killeen City Cemetery at 2800 East Rancier Ave.
