The owner says the schedule filled up quickly with clients wanting to get their eyebrows waxed and keep up with Botox injections.

"We offer anything skin related, facials, chemical peels eyelash extensions tanning we offer Botox injections and fillers and that type of stuff," owner, Samantha Davis said.

She's happy her business was allowed to reopen this week so her clients can feel good about themselves after weeks of being home.

"When you look good you feel good. When our clients come in with some kind of skin problem and we correct it, it’s such a confidence booster for them," Davis said.

Employees are following state guidelines and keeping safety top of mind, Davis said.

"When they come in we take their temperature, they must wear a face mask, [the employees] and I are making sure we wear our face masks at all times," Davis explained.

"Everybody that comes in, we require that they wash their hands."

The spa also requires clients to fill out a questionnaire about possible COVID-19 exposure before coming in.

On Tuesday Gov. Greg Abbott announced that beginning Friday, hair, nail and cosmetology salons and barbershops could reopen, but said they must serve only one customer per barber or stylist with six feet of separation between each chair.

Stylists and barbers must wear face masks and customers who are waiting for service must stay outside or in their vehicles.

Abbott had originally indicated that such businesses likely wouldn’t be allowed to reopen until mid-May or later.
