Woman robbed at gunpoint in local neighborhood

COPPERAS COVE, Texas (KWTX) Police are looking for a suspect after a woman was robbed at gunpoint early Tuesday morning in a residential neighborhood in Copperas Cove

The holdup was reported at around 4:25 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of North Drive.

The victim told officers she was held at gunpoint while the robber took her purse before escaping on foot.

The man for whom police are looking is black, around 6 feet tall and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

News of the holdup left at least one resident of the neighborhood fearful.

“I go to work at 6 a.m. every day, now I’m really scared," Francis Rankowskis said.
