Man arrested in local H-E-B parking lot after deadly shooting charged

HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas (KWTX) A man arrested in the parking lot of the Copperas Cove H-E-B store following a pursuit after a deadly shooting in Harker Heights was held on bonds totaling $1.5 million Thursday charged with murder.

Willis Everett Washington II, 49, of Harker Heights was arrested at around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of the H-E-B store at 2990 East Highway 190 after Latonya Washington, 47, was found shot to death at around 3 a.m. Tuesday at a home in the 800 block of Trail Crest where a domestic disturbance occurred earlier.

Washington was served with the murder warrant on Thursday.
