LAMPASAS (Texas) Lampasas police were working Wednesday with the Texas Rangers and San Antonio investigators after a San Antonio woman was found dead Tuesday afternoon in the Lampasas Business Park on South U.S. Highway 183.

Authorities identified the woman as Mary Lou Rodriguez, 26, of San Antonio.

She was reported missing over the weekend, Lampasas police said.

Her common-law husband, Enrique Perez, was arrested Wednesday in Blanco on a San Antonio warrant charging murder.

Officers found Rodriguez’s body after responding at around 2:50 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a suspicious vehicle.

“Upon arrival, officers located an abandoned vehicle unoccupied and found a deceased adult female in the vicinity,” police said in a press release Wednesday.

An autopsy was ordered.
